I currently have a show up at Gaia’s Garden in Santa Rosa through the end of May: http://www.gaiasgardenonline.com/

3/21/14 - monthly art critique. I got some really helpful feedback for my underwater painting on plastic wrap. And the cat was even kind enough to take part.

Waves Just Go

One of the artists I work for has me strip of the ends of book covers with a boxcutter and I get to take the dull used blades home with me - I immediately thought of this painting as a good home for them.

2/21/14 - art critique gathering in the city. I haven’t had a critique/share since college, and it was wonderful/comforting to see what a lot of people are creating in a non-academic setting. It also reminded me that I’m still figuring out my physical manifestations: paintings vs. objects.
Simultaneously I was editing/archiving exhibition photos for Weeknight Rodeo’s website.

It was exciting to attend my first meeting with the Weeknight Rodeo collective ( http://www.weeknightrodeo.com ) at the Noir Lounge in the city last week. Plans for an art magazine, residencies and a future show will keep me on my painting/organizing/cocoon making toes. And I may get some experience in archiving/documenting the collective’s work/information, which is a field I hope to pursue.

Guys please reblog this, it won’t ruin your blog, this is important

Thank you Tilda

I cannot remember the poignant things people say

Having short term memory (along with spatial dyscalculia) means that I just need to document everything.

Cocoon skins unpainted - I’m glad to be making these again.
